"WHAT A SUPERB COTTAGE."

A super cottage, we return every year, I’ve lost count of how many times now. We come for a week whilst we go to Glyndebourne and visit our favourite places in this part of Sussex. Very quiet, very comfortable, super big bed with lovely sheets, good-sized kitchen, good bathroom, wi-fi, washer-dryer, private little garden, parking, A lovely host, nice gifts of cake and Prosecco couldn’t ask for better.
We’ve had an excellent week in this peaceful, secluded spot. Total down pours some days didn’t stop us exploring, but there’s still much more to see and so we hope to return. The cottage is perfect, certainly among the very best we’ve stayed in. Thank you for letting us stay and the delicious cake.

A warm, welcoming and peaceful cottage with everything we needed for a weekend away escaping the busy London life. The owner Joan is very accommodating and friendly and the little extras really were the cherry on top……. and the cottage itself was well stocked and just lovely. Thank you!

Pippins is a very comfortable, quiet and warm cottage (especially in early March) for 2. Everything we needed was there. It is a very good base for anywhere in Sussex or the west of Kent. There are plenty of National Trust properties in the vicinity and countryside walks nearby. Also some very good supermarkets, and pubs for those who wish to eat out. The owners are very welcoming and friendly. We intend to use Pippins in the future (if we can get a booking) as a base for visiting family and friends, as well as exploring the area further.

The cottage was fitted out to a very high standard
with everything one could wish for in a holiday cottage, with the little extra touches that showed the thought gone into it. It was our base for visiting a number of famous gardens in the vicinity and was convenient also for the south coast. Good food pubs with in a short distance. The owner was very friendly and helpful. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

In Ashdown Forest area a cosy and beautiful well appointed cottage! It had everything one could wish for an enjoyable break Joan was very helpful and considerate when the heating broke down she immediately went to purchase two heaters to make sure that we weren't cold!!! I would definitely recommend this cottage to friends and family. It would be a beautiful place to stay at any time of the year!

Exactly what I needed after knee surgery at the McIndoe Centre. The cottage is really cosy and comfortable and really well equipped. Joan and Jim are lovely people - very welcoming and helpful. We really appreciated the goodies so thoughtful. The cottage was the perfect place for me to recover from my knee replacement - lying on the comfy bed with the bedroom door open , listening to the birdsong, was just what the doctor ordered. such a beautiful and peaceful place with gorgeous grounds - perfect for hobbling around on crutches.

Another wonderful week in Pippins - thank you Joan and Jim for your hospitality. Two recommendations for food - Paolino Italian in Lindfield and The Buxted Inn. Favourite places re-visited are Standen, Sheffield Park and Wakehurst Place. Hope to be back!

We are very happy for our stay in your nice cottage. All was perfect.
Congratulations and many thanks to the owners. Your cottage is probably the best we have ever stayed in.

Couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. The perfect country get away for the weekend to visit family who live around the corner. Exceptionally well presented and the welcome goodies were hugely appreciated and enjoyed. The rooms were nice and warm (it was snowing for our stay). Thank you

Thank you very much for scones and a warm welcome, Joan. We have enjoyed our week here in Sussex. Cottage is beautiful – a little home from home. We have enjoyed visiting different places whilst here, including Sheffield Park, Standen – excellent William Morris exhibition and Batemans – an excellent The Tiger who came to Tea exhibition.
A spotlessly clean holiday let, very well equipped and comfortable for two people. The owner, Joan, was on hand to welcome us and checked during our stay that we were OK (i.e. on a cold afternoon, she asked if we wanted the heating on). The location is quiet and peaceful in a wooded area with outside seating in a pretty patio area. There are plenty of attractions within a reasonable driving distance, a pub with excellent food around 5 minutes walk, and shops and supermarkets a short drive away.
Tranquil, lovely and peaceful ideal area for touring. All you need for a restful stay, open the windows listen to the birds in the silence. A good base for everything, we had some amazing lovely walks. Excellent pubs nearby with Good-Food.
